How can we get a quote to relocate our business? - +

We visit you at your site and carry out a free no obligation survey. This allows us to provide an accurate quotation which will include a full proposal of the planning and method of the move, insurance details and any additional information which will be of help to support our proposal.

Can I cancel my storage? - +

Yes, we won’t tie you into a lengthy contract. When you’re ready to move your items out of storage, simply give us a call, and we can arrange your moving-out date.

How do I get a quote for storage? - +

Get in touch with us all. We will need to know how much you’re looking to store so we can match you with the right size container. You will be invoiced on a monthly basis.

Do you offer storage? - +

Yes, we offer both short and long-term storage based on your needs.

Will you move garden items and plants? - +

Yes, we move garden furniture and plants. You just need to let our surveyor know when they visit you and they will include it in your quotation.

What items can you not move? - +
  1. Stolen goods or prohibited items such as drugs and pornographic material
  2. Potentially dangerous explosive items
  3. Bulk liquids including oils, fuels and cleaning products
  4. Perishable items, including refrigerated or frozen food
  5. Animals
  6. Anything which is unhygienic or hazardous to health
  7. Personal items and valuables such as jewellery, watches, money, important paperwork, stamps, etc.


What is a late key guarantee? - +

A late key guarantee is a service we offer providing flexibility if there is a delay in receiving the keys to your new home on moving day. This guarantee ensures that, in case of a late handover, your movers will wait for a specified period without additional charges, helping to reduce stress around timing issues. This way, if the keys are delayed due to legal or logistical reasons, you won’t incur unexpected costs.

Are my goods insured? - +

With our removals insurance you can have complete peace of mind, knowing that your effects are covered against all risks of physical loss or damage (subject to the terms and conditions enclosed with our quotation). The cost of moving depends on factors such as the volume and nature of items you’re moving, the locations involved, and the type of service you require, whether it’s full packing, partial packing, or just transport. To provide an accurate quote, Clarks of Amersham arranges a free home survey to assess your belongings and understand your specific needs.

How does Clarks of Amersham’s membership of the BAR a help me? - +

Do I need to get you parking permits? - +

Yes, if you have parking restrictions where you live you will need to organise parking permits. You can just call us to discuss any queries 01494 774186.

Do you disassemble my furniture? - +

Yes, our removal team will disassemble and reassemble furniture where required.

Do I have to empty all of my cupboards? - +

No, we will do all of the emptying don’t worry if you have booked a full pack service.

Do you disconnect my fridge, dishwasher and washing machine? - +

No. You will need to disconnect your washing machine and other appliances before moving day.

Do you do all the packing and unpacking? - +

We offer a range of packing and unpacking services: Owner pack, full pack and fragile packing of china and glass. You can read in more detail here (link). Can you supply me with boxes and packaging? - +

Yes, we can. If we are providing you with a full pack service then all your packing supplies are included in your price. You can also buy packing supplies from our website clarksremovalboxes.com

How do I pay? - +

You can pay by BACS or cheque. The funds we’ll need to clear for work to start.

Can I provisionally book a moving date? - +

Yes, we allow you to provisionally book a moving date, but this doesn’t secure the date exclusively. If another customer is ready to confirm a move for the same day, we’ll contact you to let you know about any potential conflict. This gives you a chance to confirm if the date is essential, ensuring flexibility while helping you plan ahead.

Do I have to have a survey? - +

Ideally yes. We can provide you a quick quote, but a survey will provide you with an complete price with no surprises.

How early should I get a removal quote? - +

The earlier the better. As soon as you know you’re considering moving it’s best to get a quote. Then you can start planning the rest of your move.
